Er mwyn deall pwrpas dilynwyr cam yn llawn, mae'n hanfodol deall swyddogaeth cams. Mae cams yn gydrannau mecanyddol cylchdroi a llithro o fecanweithiau cysylltu sy'n helpu i drosi mudiant cylchdro yn fudiant llinol. Mae dilynwyr cam (a elwir hefyd yn ddilynwyr trac) yn llithro neu'n rholio mewn cysylltiad â cham sy'n cylchdroi ac yn cael eu gyrru ganddo. Defnyddir y Bearings rholer hyn yn gyffredin mewn cludwyr a llinellau proses mewn diwydiannau fel bwyd a diod, plastigau, pecynnu, cynhyrchu pŵer, trin dŵr gwastraff, gwydr, amddiffyn ac awyrennau, lle mae cynaliadwyedd a dibynadwyedd system yn ystyriaethau dylunio allweddol.
Mae'r math delfrydol o ddilynwr cam ar gyfer cais penodol yn dibynnu ar sawl ffactor, gan gynnwys yr amgylchedd gweithredu, cyflymder gweithredu, a hygyrchedd y gosodiad. Daw dilynwyr cam mewn amrywiol ffurfweddiadau, yn dibynnu ar sut mae'r gydran wedi'i gosod ar y rhan paru. Mae mathau cyffredin o ddilynwyr cam yn cynnwys mathau gwrth-ffrithiant, wedi'u gyrru, ac ecsentrig. Y ddau brif fath yw math gre a math rholer.

Fel arfer mae gan ddilynwyr cam math gre -brifa maint safonol. Mae -stydiau dyletswydd trwm ar gael ar gyfer sefyllfaoedd sy'n cynnwys llwythi uchel ac effeithiau mawr, yn ogystal â gwyriad isel. Mae gan ddilynwyr cam math Roller dwll yn y canol ac fe'u defnyddir fel arfer mewn rhaglenni sy'n gofyn am ychydig iawn o allwyriad oherwydd gellir cynnal y dilynwyr hyn ar y ddwy ochr.
Gall mathau o rholer gynnal yr un llwythi statig â dilynwyr gre -dyletswydd trwm. Fodd bynnag, yn gyffredinol mae dilynwyr camera math yn cynnig mwy o amlbwrpasedd na dilynwyr math roller. Dim ond un twll mowntio yn y braced, y cwt neu'r ffrâm sydd ei angen ar fathau gre. Mae'r deunyddiau a'r triniaethau arwyneb a ddefnyddir yn helpu i sicrhau cyn lleied â phosibl o ffrithiant.

Yn gyffredinol, mae dilynwyr cam math Roller yn gostus iawn-effeithiol ac yn hawdd i'w gosod. Mae'r berynnau hyn yn adnabyddus am eu manwl gywirdeb a gellir eu gosod sawl gwaith mewn sefyllfaoedd llwyth dosbarthedig. Yn dibynnu ar drachywiredd adeiladwaith y dilynwr cam, gallant leihau lefelau sŵn mecanyddol o fwy na 10 desibel. Po fwyaf manwl gywir yw'r adeiladwaith, y tawelaf yw'r llawdriniaeth. Gall sŵn gael ei wanhau hefyd trwy ddefnyddio deunyddiau inswleiddio sain.
Oherwydd eu manteision unigryw niferus, mae dilynwyr cam yn atebion dibynadwy, perfformiad uchel mewn ystod eang o gymwysiadau.
